About Us
Mission
We exist to eradicate human trafficking by empowering survivors, equipping communities, and seeking justice through systemic change.
Vision
To see a slave free community through the rehabilitation and empowerment of survivors and a community galvanized against human trafficking
Values
We are an interdenominational, Gospel-centered team. We believe God created all people in his image to know him, love him and glorify him. We believe violence destroys hope, and true restoration involves men and women knowing the fullness and significance of their humanity and identity with Christ. We strive to glorify God by working alongside the Memphis community on behalf of the exploited.
Restore Corps provides assistance to victims of trafficking regardless of their religious beliefs, ethnicity, or gender, and we are grateful for the support of all people of good will.
History
Our team of abolitionists began as the anti-trafficking team of Operation Broken Silence in 2010. We authored and gained sponsorship for nineteen legislative changes all of which are now in effect. Under these legislative changes, Tennessee is recognized nationally as the leading state in anti-trafficking law. Restore Corps is composed of the former anti trafficking team of Operation Broken Silence along with some additional staff and volunteers that have joined since the development of this new nonprofit.
Currently, we serve as the single point of contact for west Tennessee. We provide wrap-around, trauma informed, strengths based case management services for any human trafficking referrals in the 21 counties in West Tennessee. We work to eradicate human trafficking by empowering survivors, training the community, and changing systems to create provisions for victims and increase risks to the buyer and exploiter.
